I have been personal training since 1997, when I became a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise.
I started my career training at Gold's Gym of Vista and the Encinitas YMCA. While at Gold's Gym I was a regular contributor to the club's newsletter, and in addition to offering training services to the club's members, I conducted classes on fitness training and exercise techniques for the club's other trainers.
Even though I enjoyed training members in the club setting, I realized that there were others who really needed my help more- people who were uncomfortable exercising around others and wouldn't join a health club or gym. That's my reason for focusing on private fitness training.
I don't have a story to tell about overcoming struggles as an overweight child, or having a doctor tell me that I need to change my lifestyle or face a lifetime of health problems. I am extremely proud to have made exercise and fitness a component of my lifestyle since my childhood. My mission is to get people to realize that beyond the health benefits it produces, regular exercise can be a fun and enjoyable part of life.
If you need someone to help you get started on the path to an active healthy lifestyle and someone that will provide positive motivation and support, give me a call.
